Did anyone catch the season
premiere of South Park last night? I know
Bunch did. For anyone who is not up on South Park,
Isaac Hayes, voice of the beloved character Chef left the show. Hayes quit
after an episode ridiculing Tom Cruise and Scientology. Hayes was apparently so
offended by the episode he left the show, citing, "South Park's
intolerance and bigotry toward religious beliefs." Never mind the fact
that South Park has made fun of Blacks, Jews and Mormons and indeed almost all religious
and ethnic groups, Mr. Hayes must not have been paying very close attention on
any previous episode.
All of Chef's voices are sampled from previous shows, making Chef appear
a warped pedophile, and eventually
killing him off in a brutal South
Park
"Goodbye". If ever there was an example of why not to fuck with
Trey Parker and Matt Stone, this was it.

It was quite the serving indeed, but they really went after Scientology and its members as the reason Hayes quit.
