Love you,
Competition
The Deutschland fussball team advanced to the 2008 European Cup final last night, when they took out the Turks 3-2. Even more surprising though was that the country was able to avoid a much anticipated all out racial war (think white folk and latino tension in Ca). After the win, us and fellow Deutschers celebrated by chanting bus, bus, bus while attempting to flip one over. The final game will be played this Sunday v. Drunk Ruskies or Lispy Spainards. I recon a few of you fussballers will take the time to cheer on zie DEUTSCHERS.

I thought you flapjacks might like an update on the travels. We are off to Croatia next week, for some fun and sun at the Garden Festival. So get ready to dilate like the 1920's Mickey Mouse and lets MAKE PARTY!!!!!

Costumes:
Nova has decided on Little Bo Peep. Basically a Blue bonnet, adult daiper and a walking stick.
Curtis went with cupid. Accessories include a wand and pink tutu.
I was lucky enough to finagle a full-sized big bird costume, neck extension included.
Several weeks have been spent on improving the game since the first demo.
Here are the improvements:
- Now has a 2nd level - help Schroeder find his way.
- You now bounce off enemies when you jump on them
- There is a preloader for the game, probably won't see it, but it's there.
- In Level 2, there is now water / lava, don't fall in or you die.
- You can no longer jump through the bottom of floors / walls
- The clock is now fixed so it doesn't start ticking away until the first level actually starts.
- In Level 2, there is a boss of sorts...
- And finally, there is now a scoreboard. I haven't prettied it up, but from now on scores will be saved when you hit save, so in the next week or so I will have a pretty scoreboard in place.
- Oh and I almost forgot, I don't have time to fix this, but our beloved anthem now gets played in a round when you advance to level 2, twice the anthem, twice the fun.
- For you score junkies out there the new highest score possible after the two levels is 6800 pts or somewhere around there.
Enjoy the game, see many of you in a few hours.
Flapjack, M+T
Not to overshadow the upcoming weekend event, but breaking news in the business world has come to my attention, and could greatly affect us all. InBev, the european company behind such delicious beers as Stella Artois, Leffe, und Beck's has sent an offer to Anheuser Busch to acquire our dear Adolphus and family.

Health,
I love the Doyers entry. I actually just got done buying three of these t-shirts. I got one for you. I can't see Manny's debut tonight cause I'm going to embark on a rockstar SF weekend. Viva Doyers!

The good work comment was for the PR push to get us out there to the world, I'm sorry to neglect your efforts rousing. It's a glorious story.
Found another article that mentions us: http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2008/jul/04/enduring-appeal/
Hey Frick, check out this entry in the Urban Dictionary:
1. Los Doyers
10 up, 1 down
A common nickname for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Jokingly caught on because of the huge percentage of Mexican American fans. A purposeful mispronunciation which now appears on t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and jackets. At any given game a huge portion of the audience is Mexican American or Latino.
Vamonos! Today is free blanket day. Let's go to the stadium and see Los Doyers play. I have free tickets!
did you say side of steak?! Oh sprammy!
Yeah, too bad the Germans can't attend meeting those GC's are going to buy a lot of sides of steak.
rousing? I never knew...this whole time...you deserve it, you worked very hard, yet nobody knew of your efforts. Why wouldn't anyone involved in the process point this fact out? I only hope the gift certificate is shared equally, unlike the praise.
Thank you for the kind words. We BOTH thank you.
That's right. This was an INTERNATIONAL effort. M&T and Rousing...a combined effort (or Rousing and M&T, considering that I penned the rough draft). Regardless of order, the English Majors put their years of drunk/hungover/delirious essay composition to good use.
So, thanks once again for the kind words. WE worked very hard on the IFS: The Composition.
beautifully composed... particularly the "growing old along side you" line. i got all misty-eyed.
Nice work on the IHOP website Bunchy. We're official.
Our story is finally up on the ihop website: http://www.ihop.com/it-happens-at-ihop/index.php
Let's go with privacy on this one.. We've got a whole day of drinking ahead of us. ManRam in LA? Viva los Doyers (except between August 11-14)..
Yeah the chin is an always an option. I vote for privacy considering this will be a business minded meeting and the issues discussed should be amongst brothers. Or if there was an IHOP which could provide a nice corner table with Buds that's be good too. Use your judgment.
I vote for both. Sneak the beer in underneath Fricker's chin.
I like my business private, and my boozing public. We have a long day of tailgating and stadium brews to consider so my vote is for a private room.
a free download of Kings of Leon's new song "Crawl" is available at www.kingsofleon.com
It's all because we got rid of Bartolo and Bengie, their rat meat burrito eating contests would clean out the stadium.
take a photo for me...but watch out for all the rats in the stadium
The Halos just traded Kotchman and a young pitcher for Texeira so we could be witnessing a slug fest come next Saturday.
I had the pleasure of visiting this spot a couple of weeks ago when I was down in Huntington Beach. Maritime is a frequent, well respected guest and i think we should check it out on one of the nights. The female clientèle was better than anywhere I had been in a while.
